Lives and works in Paris.
Ting Liping have studied Philosophy at the Taipei Changchi University, and Master studies in Theater Education at Paris III Sorbonne Nouvelle (master theme : the aesthetics of Samuel Beckett and John Cage), She has been active in different collaboration with experimental musicians, and have participated most of music improvisation festivals in France (like Musiques Actions/Densités/Sonorités/Instansts Chavirés etc), as well as in Germany and in southern Italy since 1999.
She co-organized Topophonie 1998-2004, sounds experimentation in public space in France, In-Formo live review in 2002- 2006 and In-Ouïr Interdisciplinary festival «ça vaut jamais le réel» in 2004-2008 at Paris Instants Chavirés.
She have collaborated with French and American poets and artists like Esther Ferrer, Serge Pey, Julien Blaine, John Giorno (Hommage à Robert Filliou), with contemporary composers Luc Ferrari( voice work), Malcolm Goldstein (composition «Fragments»). She has been active internationally as a performance artists since 1999 and have participated in festivals like Polyphonix (Paris), Polysonneries (Lyon), Lieux Communs, (Paris), RIAP (Canada), ESPAI (Spain) MIPAF (China, Macao) and CCCD (Hong Kong).
Her performance art works directly with the audience perception. Her art works as a process of exchange with inhabitants, dealing with issues like interpersonal relationships and environmental survival and our conditions of existence, questioning the body and the minds transformation, by points of rupture/gaps/alterations.
